The Accessible Canada Act (Bill C-81) will receive Royal Assent today (June 21, 2019). Once received, it will be law, in effect, and assure a barrier-free Canada by the year 2040.

Bill C-81 has now been adopted by the House of Commons. It’s now time to work towards a barrier-free Canada.
Leave a CommentAlmost 7 years to the date of the last legal decision around the Federal Government’s consitutional duty to ensure web-related content are accessible to all, Bill C-81 has now passed the 3rd reading in the Senate and has one last step before it receives Royal Assent and becomes law.
